When should I replace my tires?
Legally the minimum tread depth is 1.6mm, but for safety we recommend replacement at 3mm (summer) or 4mm (winter). Also check for cracks, bulges, or aging (older than 6-10 years).
What is the difference between summer, winter, and all-season tires?
• Summer tires: Optimal above 7°C, harder compound for grip on dry/wet roads.
• Winter tires: Essential below 7°C, deeper tread and softer rubber for grip on snow/ice.
• All-season tires: A compromise for moderate climates, suitable year-round but performance is less than specialized tires in extremes.
What is the difference between balancing and alignment?
• Balancing: Ensures the wheel rolls smoothly without vibration at speed (done with every tire change).
• Alignment: Ensures wheels are straight relative to the car for driving straight and even tire wear (needed if pulling to one side or after suspension repair).
What is TPMS and can you service it?
TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) monitors your tire pressure. We can install, reset, and replace TPMS sensors when batteries are depleted.
Can you repair a flat tire?
Yes, often. If the puncture is in the tread and not too large, we use a professional plug/patch. Sidewall damage often cannot be safely repaired.
What happens to my old tires?
We dispose of your old tires in an environmentally friendly way through certified recycling partners (Recytyre), so the rubber can be reused.
